Overview

KPMG is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Business Tax Services practice in New York City. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides tax compliance and advisory services to real estate businesses, including those operating as REITs, partnerships, and corporations, while engaging with high-profile clients to navigate complex business challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide tax compliance and advisory services to real estate businesses
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver industry knowledge
  • Build and manage client relationships through frequent engagement
  • Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants on client projects
  • Deliver high-quality tax service and advice to clients
  • Participate in market and business activities supporting High Growth Sectors

Required skills

  • Minimum two years of experience with corporate taxation, REITs, consolidations and partnerships
  • Solid knowledge of ASC 740
  • Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation or Master's in Taxation (MST)
  • Experience with partnership taxation
  • Excellent advisory and compliance skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple engagements and client service teams
