Overview

The Senior Associate role in the Corporate Finance - Turnaround & Restructuring practice at Berkeley Research Group involves providing strategic and financial advice to clients facing challenges in performance or transition. The position requires working in a team environment and managing multiple consulting tasks, with a focus on financial modeling and client presentations.

Key responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day activities of client service teams on engagements
  • Execute tasks across consulting engagements including modeling and presentations
  • Utilize financial and analytical skills to create cash flow models and financial models
  • Collaborate with team members and client contacts to achieve objectives
  • Assist in preparing reports, analyses, and client deliverables
  • Participate in the development of the consulting practice, including marketing and pitches

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a consulting or professional services environment
  • Experience in financial modeling and analysis, especially in Excel
  • Ability to manage and analyze large financial and operational data sets
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Problem-solving and project management abilities
  • Familiarity with financial research tools like Capital IQ and Bloomberg
  • CFA, CPA, or equivalent certification is a plus
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Willingness to travel as needed

  • Salary Range: $80,000 to $135,000 per year
