Job Description

Overview

The Senior Associate in Corporate Finance at Berkeley Research Group will focus on Turnaround & Restructuring, providing strategic, operational, and financial advice to various stakeholders, including private equity firms and management teams. The role involves collaborating within a team environment to tackle diverse turnaround advisory assignments and articulating complex financial insights and recommendations.

Key responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day activities of client service teams on engagements
  • Execute tasks across consulting engagements including financial modeling and client presentations
  • Develop and manage 13-week cash flow models and 3-statement financial models
  • Assist in preparing reports, analyses, presentations, and client deliverables
  • Collaborate with team members and client contacts to achieve engagement objectives
  • Participate in the development of consulting practice including marketing and client pitches
  • Demonstrate professionalism, ethics, quality, and integrity in all tasks

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 3+ years of work experience in a consulting or professional services environment
  • Experience in financial modeling and analysis, particularly in Excel
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data
  • CFA, CPA or technical/GAAP accounting expertise is a plus
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Familiarity with financial research tools like Capital IQ and Bloomberg
  • Willingness to travel as needed

What the company offers

  • Salary range of $90,000 to $135,000 per year
