Overview

Pernini Recruiting Company is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney specializing in Insurance Coverage for a leading international law firm. This role involves handling complex coverage litigation on behalf of various insurers, focusing on high-value disputes and legal analysis of insurance policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions
  • Provide clear and actionable coverage recommendations for clients
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other research tools
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Draft interrogatories, document requests, and responses
  • Review and analyze document collections in preparation for litigation
  • Engage in direct communication with domestic and international insurers
  • Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives

Required skills

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in California
  • 6+ years of substantive litigation experience focused on insurance coverage matters
  • Experience analyzing complex insurance policies
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with bad faith insurance claims, commercial general liability, and directors & officers
