Overview

The University of Cincinnati is seeking a Senior Admissions Counselor for the College of Arts and Sciences. This role involves guiding prospective students through the college search and application process, fostering connections, and contributing to the college's enrollment goals. The position requires management of recruitment territories and support for various recruitment initiatives while serving as a peer leader and mentor to other admissions team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior representative of the College of Arts and Sciences to meet enrollment goals.
  • Act as a primary resource for prospective students, families, counselors, and community partners.
  • Develop and implement initiatives showcasing the value of an Arts and Sciences education.
  • Manage assigned recruitment territories and establish strong relationships with schools and organizations.
  • Travel extensively for recruitment efforts, including college fairs and community outreach.
  • Support strategic enrollment priorities, especially for underrepresented and diverse student populations.
  • Implement and explain admissions policies and procedures to students and families.
  • Coordinate events and programs that advance recruitment goals.
  • Mentor Admissions Counselors and support consistent recruitment practices.
  • Evaluate applicant admissions and make informed decisions aligned with university standards.
  • Utilize a CRM system to maintain records and prepare reports.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three years of relevant experience in college admissions and recruitment
  • Experience with Slate or other CRM software
  • Public speaking skills
  • Data-driven decision-making abilities
  • Mentorship and training experience
