Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSenior Accountant / Financial Analyst Location: Houston, TXJob Type: ContractWork Location: Hybrid - Remote with 1 day per week onsiteSchedule: Monday-FridayShift: DayHours: 45 Hours/WeekPay Rate: $3,000-$3,500/WeekEligible States: GA, LA, OK, TN, TXResponsibilities Perform accounting and financial analysis activities.Prepare and review financial reports.Perform account reconciliations and General Ledger activities.Support month-end and close-cycle accounting.Conduct variance analysis and interpret financial results.Retrieve and analyze financial data from ERP and Business Intelligence systems.Support financial reporting and management analysis.Identify and recommend accounting process improvements.Provide accounting guidance and support to staff.Prepare financial analysis using advanced Excel functions.Communicate financial findings and recommendations to management.Requirements 5-7 years of accounting experience.Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.Strong financial accounting and analysis experience.Experience with account reconciliations and General Ledger.Experience with month-end/close-cycle accounting.Experience with variance analysis.ERP and Business Intelligence experience.Advanced Excel skills, including:Pivot TablesVLOOKUPMacrosStrong analytical and communication skills.Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.Must reside in or be submitted from GA, LA, OK, TN, or TX.Pay Rate: $3,000-$3,500/Week
