Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Accountant at Fisher Investments, you will be integral to maintaining the accuracy of financial records and facilitating month-end close processes while adhering to U.S. GAAP and local standards. You will work collaboratively across finance functions and support annual audits, regulatory filings, and the company's international expansion efforts.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing accounting processes and month-end close activities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and local accounting standards
  • Drive improvements in accounting systems and processes
  • Provide feedback to team members for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with finance teams to optimize processes and reporting
  • Create and analyze financial statements
  • Coordinate with external auditors for successful audit outcomes
  • Support financial regulatory filings

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience with public accounting and/or complex corporations
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and audit standards
  • Familiarity with accounting systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
  • CPA or progress toward certification preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
