Overview

Daniel Defense is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Accounting & Finance team in Ellabell, Georgia. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, maintaining fixed asset records, and ensuring compliance with taxation and auditing standards while contributing to a positive work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead environmental health and safety initiatives
  • Maintain Fixed Asset sub-ledger and related records
  • Reconcile Prepaid and Accrual accounts
  • Reconcile Current and Long-term debt accounts
  • Prepare Sales tax and Federal Excise tax returns
  • Analyze monthly expense account trends
  • Assist with external and bank audits
  • Contribute to company standards of integrity and safety

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 4-7 years of accounting experience
  • Possible CPA certification
  • Experience with ERP or other business systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in computer software and Excel
