Job Description

Overview

Trilogy Financial is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the month-end close process and financial planning, budgeting, and reporting functions. This role is crucial for delivering accurate financial information to management and ensuring data integrity and compliance with GAAP standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the full month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Analyze variances between actual results and budgets/forecasts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Support the development of financial reporting for senior management.
  • Ensure data integrity across financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and multi-year strategic planning process.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly reforecasting processes.
  • Supervise an accounting administrator.

Required skills

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with financial reporting packages and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Highly proficient in Excel; experience with Floqast and NetSuite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business judgment and analytical thinking.
  • Prior experience in financial services.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • CPA or CFA designation preferred.
