Overview

Trilogy Financial is looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee the month-end close process and assist in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. This role involves delivering accurate financial information to management and requires collaborative work across multiple departments to drive performance and accountability.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the full month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Perform variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecast, providing clear explanations to management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support the development of financial reporting for senior management.
  • Streamline and automate data collection and reporting processes.
  • Report corporate department P&Ls and ensure targets are met.
  • Ensure data integrity across financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and multi-year strategic planning process.
  • Supervise an accounting administrator.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with financial reporting packages and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Highly proficient in Excel; experience with Floqast and NetSuite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business judgment and analytical thinking.
  • Prior experience in financial services.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA or CFA designation preferred.
