Overview

Northern Pipe Products, located in Fargo, North Dakota, is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support operations and drive business insights. This role offers the chance to work within a close-knit team, engage in an ERP upgrade, and take on broader financial leadership responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead key aspects of the month-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Resolve issues in partnership with accounting, operations, and other teams
  • Manage complex accruals, including customer rebate programs
  • Collaborate with budget owners and adjust estimates for accurate payouts
  • Support budgeting alongside the Controller
  • Contribute to CAPEX planning and fixed asset accounting
  • Ensure audit readiness and SOX compliance
  • Oversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts and variance analysis
  • Use tools like Business Central and Power BI to provide financial insights

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, with public accounting and manufacturing exposure considered
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing accounting and inventory
  • CPA or CMA preferred
