Overview

JET PARTS ENGINEERING LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their aerospace portfolio, focused on financial operations and closing functions in a dynamic, private equity-owned environment. The role involves managing the general accounting team and ensuring accurate financial reporting, general ledger management, and support for budget and forecast activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a thorough understanding of finance and accounting reporting structure
  • Oversee month-end close for multiple entities
  • Assist with invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes
  • Monitor and analyze department work for efficiency and accuracy
  • File excise, sales, B&O and use tax returns
  • Support ERP system management and associated procedures
  • Collaborate with departments to achieve overall departmental goals
  • Provide training to staff as needed
  • Assist in M&A due diligence and special projects

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power BI
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Quantum Control
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA preferred
  • Distribution and/or manufacturing background preferred
