Job Description

Overview

Trilogy Financial is looking for a Senior Accountant to help manage financial operations including the month-end close process, budgeting, and reporting functions. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate reporting and support strategic initiatives, while also seeking opportunities for cost optimization.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Analyze and investigate budget variances, providing explanations to management
  • Collaborate with various teams to gather data and improve close processes
  • Support financial reporting for senior management
  • Streamline and automate data collection and reporting processes
  • Report corporate department P&Ls and work with leaders to meet targets
  • Ensure data integrity across financial systems and reporting tools
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and multi-year strategic planning
  • Supervise an accounting administrator

Required skills

  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Big Four experience preferred
  • Supervisory or team lead experience for at least 2 years
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis knowledge
  • High proficiency in Excel and experience with Floqast and NetSuite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business judgment and analytical thinking
  • Prior experience in financial services
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • CPA or CFA designation preferred
