About the Opportunity Support weekly cash reporting and monitoring. Lead the month-end close process in accordance with corporate deadlines. Prepare monthly financial statement reporting packages for Corporate. Analyze financial results and provide explanations for budget-to-actual variances. Perform monthly analysis of costs and margins by part/product. Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Oversee general accounting activities, including general ledger reconciliations, A/R, A/P, and recurring journal entries. Review financial and operational processes to ensure accuracy and proper account coding. Conduct daily reviews of revenue streams and costing transactions, investigating discrepancies and unusual activity. Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting. Prepare ad hoc financial reports and support special projects as required. Assist with external audits and respond to Corporate finance inquiries. Prepare and submit monthly HST and WSIB reporting. Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Contracts, Quality, and Configuration teams. Establish processes for documenting lessons learned and sharing best practices. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Finance Manager. About You Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. 3+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience. Strong understanding of month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost/margin analysis. Strong Excel and financial reporting skills; experience working with ERP/accounting systems. Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations. Knowledge of HST and WSIB reporting requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to investigate discrepancies, identify process improvements, and communicate findings effectively. Strong cross-functional communication and relationship-building skills. Experience supporting external audits is an asset. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines. CPA designation or progress toward a CPA is an asset.
