Job Description

Overview

Micron is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer to lead efforts in optimizing semiconductor manufacturing processes, focusing on product quality and yield improvements. This role involves diagnosing and resolving process-related challenges, supervising production health, and collaborating with suppliers to meet quality and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Start up, develop, and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Drive process yield improvements, cost reduction, and productivity enhancements.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve process-related issues using failure analysis and SPC methodologies.
  • Coordinate and evaluate processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Implement changes and manage baseline qualifications for new processes.
  • Supervise and ensure healthy output of assigned processes.
  • Provide proactive plans to mitigate risks affecting cycle time.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in semiconductor process engineering.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process flow and support equipment.
  • Familiarity with fabrication processes including chemical and physical vapor deposition.
  • Understanding of SPC principles and their application in film deposition.
  • Experience with DRAM function, probe and parametric data.
  • Data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills using JMP.
