Overview

Micron is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer for their Idaho City location. This role involves developing, optimizing, and supervising semiconductor manufacturing processes to improve product quality, yield, and cost efficiency while resolving related issues. The engineer will be involved in process evaluations and collaborations to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Start up, develop, and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes
  • Drive process yield improvements and cost reductions
  • Resolve manufacturing line problems using failure analysis and methodologies like FMEA and SPC
  • Coordinate process, equipment, and material evaluations to implement changes
  • Participate in yield improvement and cost optimization activities
  • Supervise the health of assigned processes ensuring high-quality output
  • Provide proactive redundancy plans for potential bottlenecks
  • Manage international travel as required

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in semiconductor processing or related occupation
  • Knowledge of fabrication process areas and support equipment
  • Experience with chemical vapor and physical vapor deposition systems
  • Proficiency in SPC principles, theory, and applications
  • Understanding of DRAM functions and parametric data
  • Data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills using JMP
  • Ability to identify and resolve chronic issues in film deposition processes
