Overview

Micron Technology is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer 4 to evaluate new hardware platforms and process chemistries while performing fundamental research and chemistry development. The role involves developing revolutionary wet process technologies, improving existing processes, and enhancing productivity and efficiency in semiconductor manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluate new hardware platforms and process chemistries
  • Develop wet process technologies for future DRAM nodes
  • Establish technology roadmaps and collaborate with engineers and suppliers
  • Improve process capability, productivity, and efficiency
  • Start up and optimize processes to enhance product quality and reliability
  • Resolve manufacturing line problems through failure analysis and methodical approaches
  • Coordinate process, equipment, and material evaluations to implement changes
  • Lead yield improvement and cost reduction initiatives
  • Manage material suppliers to achieve quality and risk management objectives

Required skills

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or related fields
  • 5 years of progressive experience in semiconductor process engineering
  • Electrical engineering concepts and theories
  • Chip design and Technology Computer-Aided Design (TCAD)
  • Advanced mathematics and analytical skills
  • Silicon fabrication and critical front-end processing
  • Wet etch processing and characterization
  • Numerical analysis, optimization, and/or simulation
