Overview

Micron is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer to monitor and enhance the health of semiconductor processes in Boise, Idaho. The role involves collaboration with various teams to improve tool output and address process issues, with a focus on maintaining high-quality production and implementing effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor the health of assigned processes to ensure high-quality output
  • Collaborate with shift teams to resolve tool process issues
  • Communicate proactively with management on daily priorities
  • Attend and participate in relevant operational meetings
  • Work with Equipment Engineers and Technicians for area improvement
  • Analyze data to make critical decisions and drive cost-reduction activities
  • Monitor equipment usage and production efficiency
  • Provide troubleshooting support for complex process problems
  • Write and modify recipes for efficient tool processing
  • Manage projects to ensure deliverables are completed on time
  • Coordinate and lead meetings, providing follow-up actions

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3 years of experience in semiconductor process engineering
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with JMP and Qoniac software
  • Knowledge of process flow related to area equipment
  • Understanding of SPC principles
  • Familiarity with GeRM, Mfg Central, Yield3, Klarity, and Exceed K2view
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks in decision-making
