Overview

Micron Technology is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer in Boise, Idaho, to improve product quality and optimize manufacturing processes within their semiconductor manufacturing operations. The role involves troubleshooting process-related issues and collaborating with suppliers to achieve performance and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Start up, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes
  • Drive process yield improvements and cost reduction
  • Resolve manufacturing line problems using failure analysis and methodologies like FMEA and SPC
  • Coordinate process, equipment, and material evaluations for optimizations
  • Supervise the health of assigned processes to ensure high-quality output
  • Implement proactive redundancy plans for potential bottlenecks
  • Conduct data extraction and analysis using software such as JMP

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5 years of progressive experience in semiconductor process engineering
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and fabrication area
  • Experience with chemical vapor and physical vapor deposition systems
  • Understanding of SPC principles and applications
  • Familiarity with DRAM functions, probe data, and parametric data analysis
  • Ability to identify and resolve chronic issues in film deposition processes
