Overview

Micron Technology is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer to oversee the development and optimization of processes aimed at improving product quality in their semiconductor manufacturing facility in Nampa, Idaho. The role involves troubleshooting manufacturing line challenges, enhancing yield, reducing costs, and ensuring process integrity through various methodologies and analyses.

Key responsibilities

  • Start up, develop, and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes
  • Drive process yield improvements, cost reduction, and productivity enhancements
  • Resolve manufacturing line problems through failure analysis and SPC/FDC methodology
  • Coordinate process, equipment, and material evaluations for optimization
  • Manage new process baseline qualifications and audits with material suppliers
  • Supervise assigned processes to ensure high-quality output
  • Provide proactive redundancy plans for potential bottlenecks
  • Conduct international travel up to 20% as required

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process flow and support equipment
  • Experience with chemical vapor deposition and physical vapor deposition systems
  • Understanding of SPC principles related to film deposition
  • Familiarity with DRAM function, Probe, and Parametric data
  • Data extraction, analysis, and reporting using software like JMP
  • Ability to address chronic process issues with long-term solutions
