Job Description

Overview

Micron Technology is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer to join their team in Meridian, Idaho. The role involves developing and optimizing semiconductor manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and improve yield, while also addressing and resolving manufacturing challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Start up, develop, and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes
  • Drive process yield improvements, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement
  • Resolve manufacturing line problems using failure analysis, FMEA, and 8D methodology
  • Evaluate and optimize processes, equipment, and materials
  • Lead yield improvement and cost optimization activities
  • Manage and collaborate with material suppliers for quality and risk mitigation
  • Ensure high-quality output and develop redundancy plans for bottlenecks
  • Travel up to 20% internationally as required

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5 years of progressive experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related occupation
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process flow and fabrication area
  • Experience with chemical vapor deposition and physical vapor deposition systems
  • Understanding of SPC principles and its applications
  • Familiarity with DRAM function and probe/parametric data
  • Data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills using JMP software
  • Ability to identify and resolve chronic issues in film deposition processes
