Job Description

Overview

As a Semiconductor Process Engineer at Micron, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing processes to enhance product quality and yield while managing costs and productivity. This role involves diagnosing and resolving process-related issues and requires a strong foundation in semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Start up, develop, and optimize processes to improve product quality and yield.
  • Resolve manufacturing line problems using failure analysis and SPC/FDC methodology.
  • Conduct process, equipment, and material evaluations for optimization.
  • Lead yield improvement and cost optimization activities.
  • Supervise the health of assigned processes and ensure high-quality output.
  • Provide proactive redundancy plans for bottlenecks impacting cycle time.
  • Travel internationally up to 20%.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in a Semiconductor Process Engineer role.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process flow and equipment.
  • Experience with fabrication processes including chemical vapor and physical vapor deposition systems.
  • Proficiency in SPC principles and applications.
  • Understanding of DRAM function, Probe, and Parametric data.
  • Data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills using JMP.
  • Ability to identify chronic issues in film deposition processes and implement solutions.
