Overview

As a Selling and Support Captain at Macy's, you will serve as a key advocate for customers while leading and guiding colleagues. This role involves driving results through merchandising and promotional initiatives, while also focusing on exceptional customer service and brand loyalty. You will work closely with leadership to communicate expectations and manage store activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Fulfill customer orders and manage merchandising tasks
  • Supervise the selling floor to enhance the customer experience
  • Provide feedback to colleagues to improve service quality
  • Lead colleagues in executing assigned tasks
  • Perform store opening and closing procedures
  • Educate colleagues on technology and sales applications
  • Promote Macy's mobile app to enhance customer interaction

Required skills

  • 1-2 years of direct retail experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective communication skills with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to adapt to changing customer needs
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Experience with point of sale technology and cash register transactions
