Overview

Intuit is looking for Seasonal Tax Associates to join their TurboTax team in Chicago, Illinois. This role focuses on assisting customers with tax preparation and advice, all while fostering community engagement and building long-term client relationships. Tax Associates will work on-site to empower clients and help them navigate their tax needs effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Represent TurboTax as a community ambassador and nurture leads into long-term clients.
  • Provide hands-on tax advice and preparation services for clients with various tax situations.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions to uncover deductions and provide tax planning advice.
  • Create exceptional customer experiences by addressing inquiries and overcoming tax-related challenges.
  • Utilize marketing support and software to grow TurboTax's client base in the community.

Required skills

  • 3+ years of experience filing at least 50 federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per season using professional so
  • Knowledge of Circular 230 and tax preparation regulations.
  • Ability to obtain required State licenses and an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient with technology and tax preparation software.
  • Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
