Overview

Intuit is looking for motivated individuals to join their team as Seasonal Tax Associates in retail TurboTax locations. This role combines tax expertise with community engagement, aimed at helping customers with their tax needs and building long-term relationships to enhance TurboTax's client base. Associates will serve clients both in-person and virtually, providing comprehensive tax preparation services and support.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a Community Ambassador for TurboTax, engaging with new clients and nurturing leads.
  • Provide hands-on tax advice and preparation services for both personal and business tax situations.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to optimize deductions and maximize refunds.
  • Create exceptional customer experiences through professionalism and a genuine interest in client success.
  • Connect with customers to build long-term trust and loyalty across multiple interactions.
  • Utilize TurboTax marketing support and software to enhance client engagement.

Required skills

  • 3+ years of experience filing federal and state individual tax returns using professional tax software.
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations including familiarity with Circular 230.
  • Ability to obtain relevant state licenses and an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
  • Flexible availability for a 25-34 hour workweek during peak seasons.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient with technology, including tax preparation software and CRM/sales tools.
  • Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are a plus.
  • Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond basic filings.
