Intuit is looking for highly motivated individuals to fill the role of Seasonal Tax Associate - Retail On-Site in Hempstead, New York. This seasonal position emphasizes tax expertise, community engagement, and entrepreneurial spirit, as associates help customers navigate their tax needs in a TurboTax location. The role involves both in-person and virtual interactions, providing tax return preparation and advice to foster positive financial outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as a community ambassador for TurboTax, engaging with and nurturing leads to convert them into long-term clients.
  • Provide hands-on tax advice and preparation services for clients with various tax situations.
  • Conduct discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions and optimize refunds.
  • Create an exceptional customer experience through professionalism and genuine interest in helping clients achieve their financial goals.
  • Address client inquiries and alleviate tax-related challenges.
  • Participate in local events and marketing to promote tax services.

Required skills

  • 3 years of experience filing 50+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns
  • Proficient in professional tax preparation software
  • Ability to obtain necessary state licenses and active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
  • Familiarity with Circular 230
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
  • Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing
  • Proficient with CRM/sales tools
  • Adaptability to changing and ambiguous environments
