Overview

E. & J. Gallo Winery is seeking a Seasonal Lab Assistant to support winery operations from July to October. The role involves performing sanitation inspections, collecting samples, and maintaining a clean lab environment. Ideal candidates will have some laboratory experience and an interest in the wine industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform visual sanitation inspections of winery equipment
  • Collect top and bottom samples from wine storage tanks and crush tanks
  • Maintain cleanliness in the lab and all related equipment
  • Ensure safe and clean collection of representative samples
  • Perform various analyses on samples

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School diploma with relevant experience
  • Experience working collaboratively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in lab work
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move 40 pounds frequently
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision and color vision
  • Ability to work in high places and various shifts, including weekends
  • Basic math skills for handling simple calculations
