Overview

Aramark is seeking a Seasonal Cashier in Corning, New York, to join their team, where the focus is on providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth transaction processes. This role involves handling cash, greeting guests, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions.
  • Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs.
  • Count, organize, and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits.
  • Adhere to Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Understand and be knowledgeable of the merchandise for sale to assist customers.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment during service and at the end of the shift.
  • Ensure product in location is stocked to appropriate levels throughout service.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Required skills

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred.
  • Basic math and counting skills required.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Complete Food Handler and Alcohol Service trainings as required by location.
