Job Title: Scientist, Systems Engineering Job Code: 41319 Job Location: Rochester, NY Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off Job Description: L3Harris is seeking systems engineers in Rochester NY to lead a dynamic team to develop EO/IR solutions. They will have Chief Systems Engineering responsibilities consisting of the synthesis, definition, analysis, development, integration & test of electro-optic systems for airborne and ground surveillance. Candidate will work closely with cross functional members in engineering, manufacturing, & program management to design, develop & build high performance systems. Essential Functions: Design/develop system architectures, define key capabilities and performance requirements Define total systems design and technology that meet mission requirements Define system implementation approach and operational concepts Develop models and architectural guidelines for future technologies Ensure requirements are met and evaluate performance measures Perform system and subsystem integration, technical risk assessment, technical planning, verification and validation, and supportability analyses Understand and implement systems engineering processes on programs and projects Create and update essential engineering documents including specifications, reports, plans, technical memos, and presentations Coordinate with other functional engineers to develop and test products, resolve compatibility and interface problems with other subsystems Provide timely production support and problem resolution Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
