Overview

Kaigene, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scientist to join their protein engineering team in Rockville, Maryland. The successful candidate will focus on the design and execution of experiments for engineering and characterizing antibodies intended for therapeutic applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and execute protein engineering experiments to optimize protein function, stability, and expression
  • Utilize molecular biology techniques for protein engineering, including mutation, DNA cloning, and gene expression
  • Employ protein expression and purification techniques to produce recombinant proteins for downstream characterization and analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of antibody-based products and technologies
  • Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and present findings through oral and written reports

Required skills

  • Degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related field
  • PhD with 0+ years or MS with 3+ years of experience in protein engineering, preferably including antibody research
  • Fluent in Korean and professional working proficiency in English
  • Experience in protein expression and purification techniques
  • Knowledge of molecular biology techniques
