School Crossing Guard - Fairfax County School Crossing Guard - Multiple Openings throughout Fairfax County Location: Fairfax County, VA NEW HIRE BONUS $75 at 30 DAYS - $50 at 60 DAYS - $50 at 90 DAYS New hires must remain actively employed and meet program eligibility requirements through each milestone to receive the applicable bonus. PLUS: 2 HOURS OF ONBOARDING TIME REIMBURSED New hires receive 2 hours of pay as reimbursement for time spent completing the onboarding process. Included on your first paycheck. This position offers a flexible schedule while helping support safe routes to school for local students. Daily Responsibilities Assist pedestrians at designated school crossings Help maintain safe traffic conditions near schools Remain alert to changing traffic and pedestrian activity Provide courteous communication with the public and school communities Follow all safety protocols and assigned procedures Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Dependable and safety-focused Able to work outdoors during varying weather conditions Comfortable standing for scheduled shifts Strong awareness and communication skills Schedule Expectations This position follows the local school calendar and consists of split shifts before and after school.
