Overview

West Fraser is seeking a Sawmill Maintenance Technician in Orange Park, Florida. The role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and operational support for a planer machine, as well as ensuring safety procedures are followed in a sawmill environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Feed the planer and ensure a constant lumber flow through the system
  • Set, monitor, and maintain the planer machine
  • Perform minor repairs and all preventive maintenance
  • Assist maintenance with major repairs of machines
  • Change knives on the machinery
  • Maintain proper setup and operation of the planer to achieve quality finishes
  • Conduct housekeeping as assigned by the supervisor
  • Participate in West Fraser Qualified Millwright training and complete necessary assessments
