Overview

The Sanitation Supervisor at Butterball is responsible for overseeing sanitation processes throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with food safety and safety standards. This role includes developing and implementing sanitation practices, training employees, and collaborating with other departments to enhance sanitation efforts and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day activities of sanitation team members
  • Guide and support team to complete tasks successfully
  • Participate in HR activities such as hiring and performance management
  • Enforce systems, policies, and procedures
  • Provide team member training on sanitation and safety practices
  • Monitor and adjust cleaning systems for optimal cleanliness
  • Conduct routine assessments of cleaning and sanitation effectiveness
  • Collaborate with management to troubleshoot sanitation issues
  • Evaluate cleaning verification and validation data
  • Conduct regular meetings with plant management on sanitation findings

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • 1+ years of leadership experience
  • Knowledge of sanitation processes and food safety regulations
  • Experience with OSHA regulations
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Problem-solving, root cause analysis, and critical thinking abilities
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Good computer application skills including business software
  • Flexibility to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed
