Overview

The Sanitation Worker at Reser's Fine Foods, Inc. is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production machines and areas, ensuring compliance with safety standards and assisting teammates in maintaining a hygienic work environment. This position includes various responsibilities related to equipment inspection and sanitation processes, and is critical for maintaining food safety in a refrigerated manufacturing plant.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow safe chemical handling procedures
  • Adhere to LOTO program and chemical labeling guidelines
  • Clean the production facility and equipment safely
  • Dismantle, clean, and reassemble production equipment per SSOP
  • Inspect equipment after cleaning and verify readiness for production
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
  • Assist co-workers to uphold a positive team environment

Required skills

  • Experience as a sanitation worker in a food plant environment
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Spanish speaking preferred
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
