Overview

The Sanitation Worker role at Reser's Fine Foods, Inc. involves ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of production machines, parts, and assigned areas. This position may require work on the 3rd shift and involves following various safety and sanitation protocols in a refrigerated food manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow safe chemical handling procedures
  • Adhere to LOTO program and chemical labeling guidelines
  • Clean and sanitize production facility and equipment
  • Assist co-workers in maintaining a supportive team environment
  • Verify cleanliness and readiness of assigned areas for sanitation
  • Dismantle, clean, and reassemble production equipment as needed
  • Report any equipment issues and reassemble/test production machines
  • Inspect all equipment post-cleaning
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area

Required skills

  • Experience as a sanitation worker in a food plant environment
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Spanish speaking is preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Basic arithmetic skills
