Overview

Join Lowes Foods as a Sammy's Clerk in Johns Island, South Carolina. This role offers an opportunity to deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced deli environment while benefiting from flexible schedules and competitive pay.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests
  • Perform assigned duties while interacting with guests and team members
  • Explain product details including ingredients and menu items
  • Provide samples to guests and explain offerings as needed
  • Efficiently prepare product for sale, including frying, cutting, and pricing
  • Maintain product quality and freshness according to guidelines
  • Ensure sanitation standards in cooler, freezer, prep and sales areas
  • Communicate guest requests and product breakdowns to management
  • Keep supply and work area neat, clean and tidy
  • Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards
  • Perform front end duties to ensure no noticeable wait standard
  • Announce specials and sale information on the PA system
  • Assist in product receiving and storage
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management

Required skills

  • Friendly, outgoing personality
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to read and understand information and direction
  • Effective communication, customer service and selling skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
