Job Description

Overview

The Sales Operations Director at Interstate Waste Services is responsible for leading and defining the strategy and execution of the Sales Operations function. This role focuses on enhancing sales productivity and efficiency while partnering with executive leadership to drive revenue growth and improve sales effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales operations strategies, processes, and workflows.
  • Lead design and optimization of sales operations strategy and processes.
  • Manage sales forecasting, pipeline governance, and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Provide strategic insights on sales performance to executive leadership.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Oversee CRM strategy, optimization, adoption, and data integrity.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to support revenue objectives.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions in sales.
  • Lead annual sales planning processes including territory design and quota frameworks.
  • Build, mentor, and develop the Sales Operations team.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on process and operational improvements.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in Sales Operations or related fields.
  • 3-5+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
  • Experience supporting senior sales leadership.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills.
  • Deep experience with sales forecasting and revenue planning.
  • Expertise in CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
  • Proven ability to drive process transformation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence decision-making at leadership levels.
  • Six-sigma and/or ISO 9001 certification preferred.
