Overview

Position Summary A growing specialty materials company is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead business development efforts within the municipal and industrial water treatment market across North America.This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, developing high-performing customer relationships, and leading a sales team focused on delivering innovative water treatment solutions. The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and a hands-on sales professional with experience in specialty chemicals or water treatment. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage customer relationships while serving as the primary commercial interface for the company's products and services.Develop strategies to grow revenue and profitability within municipal and industrial water treatment markets.Partner with existing and prospective customers to understand business needs and develop tailored value propositions.Build relationships with key industry stakeholders, including:State and local environmental agenciesWater treatment associationsEngineering firmsIndustry consultants and subject matter expertsDevelop and execute sales strategies that support annual growth, profitability, and market share objectives.Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team through regular pipeline reviews, forecasting, and opportunity management.Establish individual and team performance goals and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop sales talent to support business growth.Identify new business opportunities by monitoring environmental regulations and market trends.Collaborate with the sales team to develop presentations and represent the company at industry conferences and events.Prepare business proposals and customer presentations that clearly communicate value.Establish and maintain consistent sales processes, reporting, forecasting, and CRM discipline.Optimize territory planning and account assignments to maximize market coverage.Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, scientific, or related field preferred.3+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing a sales team.3+ years of experience in one of the following:Water treatment operationsSpecialty chemical salesIndustrial process chemicalsRelated industrial B2B markets Preferred Skills Demonstrated success developing new business and driving profitable growth.Strong leadership and team development abilities.Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting, and CRM systems.Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/business software.Ability to work independently while collaborating across functional teams.Experience interacting with customers, industry organizations, and government or regulatory agencies.
