Overview

The Quebec City Marriott Downtown is looking for a Sales & Banquet Operations Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for coordinating confirmed groups and ensuring the smooth execution of events at the hotel. You will be a key point of contact for our clients and work closely with the hotel's various departments to provide a seamless and personalized experience. Responsibilities Coordinate confirmed group stays, including accommodations, meeting rooms, food & beverage and other requirements; Prepare and distribute group resumes, banquet event orders and relevant information to the appropriate departments; Follow up with clients prior to arrival and throughout their event; Welcome clients and act as their main point of contact during events; Oversee the smooth execution of functions and respond to last-minute requests or changes; Coordinate room setups, staffing requirements and audiovisual equipment; Participate in weekly sales and group meetings; Complete banquet function billing and required administrative follow-ups; Perform other related duties to ensure the success of groups and events. Skills & Requirements Ability to use advanced functions of various computer systems, including client tracking, inventory control and forecasting tools; Creative personality with a strong focus on results and banquet service; Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and thoroughness in following up on files; Excellent communication skills in both French and English; Minimum of three (3) years of customer service experience; College diploma in hospitality; Availability to work a variable and flexible schedule.
