Overview

The Sales Application Engineer at Becker Global America will operate in a technical, customer-facing role focused on electrical and industrial systems. This position encompasses the entire quotation process from initial request to final submission, ensuring client specifications are translated into accurate technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the quotation process from initial request through final submission
  • Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and specifications
  • Develop accurate, competitive proposals for electrical and industrial systems
  • Partner with engineering, sales, and production to deliver customer-ready solutions
  • Support orders through production and provide customer updates
  • Troubleshoot technical and process issues
  • Build strong customer relationships
  • Present technical information clearly

Required skills

  • 3-5+ years of experience in quotations, application engineering, or technical sales
  • Background in switchgear, substations, E-Houses, or industrial power systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and system layouts
  • Experience developing product specs and project-based quotes
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred)
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
