Overview

Becker Global America is seeking a hands-on Sales Application Engineer specialized in electrical and industrial systems. This role involves developing quotes and solutions for complex projects, supporting various customer-facing initiatives in power distribution and automation environments.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the quotation process from initial request to final submission
  • Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and specifications
  • Develop accurate and competitive proposals for electrical and industrial systems
  • Partner with engineering, sales, and production to deliver customer-ready solutions
  • Support orders through production and provide proactive customer updates
  • Troubleshoot technical and process issues with minimal direction
  • Build strong customer relationships through responsive, consultative support
  • Present technical information clearly to internal and external stakeholders

Required skills

  • 3-5+ years of experience in quotations, application engineering, or technical sales
  • Background in switchgear, substations, E-Houses, or industrial power systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and system layouts
  • Experience developing product specs and project-based quotes
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
