Overview

Wayne Tile Co Inc is seeking a Sales Associate in Ramsey, New Jersey, with a strong eye for design to assist customers in purchasing merchandise that enhances interior spaces. This role involves collaborating with clients, builders, and designers to ensure a seamless ordering process and delivering design-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet and interact with customers
  • Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences
  • Demonstrate and explain merchandise, suggesting suitable options
  • Assist customers with purchase decisions
  • Retrieve samples and manage tile selections
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email and phone
  • Collect payments using point of sale system
  • Schedule material deliveries as needed
  • Process returns and exchanges
  • Maintain knowledge of tile installation systems and methods
  • Help maintain an orderly showroom
  • Follow up on open orders and update Portal as necessary
  • Perform other assigned duties
