Overview

Vivalon is looking for a Safety & Training Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of bus drivers in Ceres, CA. This role entails providing support, guidance, and training while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and support to bus drivers
  • Monitor and investigate operational and administrative issues
  • Develop solutions for concerns raised by management, dispatch, clients, drivers, and the public
  • Support the development and delivery of driver training programs and workshops
  • Conduct on-road driver monitoring, coaching, and supervision
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual standards, and company policies
  • Foster a positive work environment through coaching and mentoring

Required skills

  • Prior transportation operational, safety, and training experience
  • Experience developing and delivering employee training
  • Coaching experience
  • 1-3 years of related experience within the transit industry
  • Knowledge of service areas and contract requirements
  • Knowledge of ADA policies and regulations
  • Understanding of State and Federal work and passenger bus safety rules and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
