Overview

The Safety, Security and Emergency Preparedness Manager at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center is a proactive leader responsible for ensuring a safe and prepared environment for patients and staff. This role involves overseeing compliance with safety regulations, managing security operations, and leading emergency preparedness efforts across all facilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and strengthen the Life Safety Program for compliance with regulatory standards
  • Conduct routine audits and risk assessments
  • Manage physical security across all locations, including access control and surveillance
  • Lead incident investigations and develop security policies and training
  • Coordinate emergency readiness efforts and maintain the Emergency Operations Plan
  • Conduct drills and manage disaster response resources
  • Work closely with organizational leaders to promote a culture of safety
  • Oversee program budgets and vendor contracts

Required skills

  • Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in life safety, security, or emergency preparedness
  • Working knowledge of CMS, NFPA, OSHA, ICS, and NIMS
  • Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
  • Professional certifications such as CHSP, CHEP, CHFM, or CPP
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
