Overview

The Safety Manager at Peckham Industries will be responsible for creating and implementing programs to prevent workplace injuries and ensure compliance with regulations. The role aims to foster a safety-first culture aligned with the company's mission of achieving zero accidents while supporting the communities served by Peckham Industries.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety programs and policies to prevent workplace injuries
  • Conduct safety assessments and identify hazards
  • Facilitate incident reporting and root cause analysis
  • Engage employees and hold them accountable for safety practices
  • Develop and deliver safety training content
  • Collaborate on special projects supporting the Corporate Safety Strategic Plan
  • Track and report on insurance claims and safety incidents
  • Network with safety associations to apply best practices

Required skills

  • Experience in safety management within construction or manufacturing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coach and teach employees at all levels
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills in safety compliance
  • OSHA/MSHA certification or similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
