Job Description

Overview

The Safety Intern at Metalcraft of Mayville will support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) operations in the manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Safety Director, the intern will assist with developing safety programs, training, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with safety coordinators on safety topics
  • Assist with training Shop Leaders in program development
  • Review and update safety policies and procedures
  • Manage OSHA record keeping for recordable injuries
  • Participate in incident investigations and documentation
  • Compile and maintain safety statistics and analyze incident data
  • Implement and document required EH&S training
  • Lead 6S Teams to improve safety programs
