Overview

The Safety Intern at Metalcraft of Mayville will provide essential EHS support to the manufacturing operations at the Mayville location. This role involves collaborating with safety coordinators, assisting in safety training, and engaging employees to foster a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with safety coordinators on individual safety topics
  • Assist with training Shop Leaders in developing programs
  • Review and update safety policies and procedures
  • Handle OSHA record keeping for recordable injuries
  • Participate in incident investigations and prepare documentation
  • Compile and analyze safety statistics and incident data
  • Implement and document EH&S required training
  • Provide innovative solutions to enhance safety
  • Lead and participate in 6S Teams to improve safety programs
