Overview

Join Amrize as a Rubber Tire Roller Operator and contribute to important road construction projects in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will operate rubber tire rollers and collaborate with the project team to ensure proper compaction levels are achieved, thereby supporting the creation of durable roadways that meet safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate rubber tire rollers to compact asphalt, soil, and gravel during road construction projects.
  • Follow project specifications to ensure correct compaction and smoothness of road surfaces.
  • Inspect and maintain the rubber tire roller to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Collaborate with the project team for efficient and safe operation of roller equipment.
  • Monitor compaction results and adjust techniques as necessary.
  • Perform daily checks of the equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols while operating the rubber tire roller.
  • Act as a liaison with clients, consultants, and owners to ensure project success.
  • Assist in financial reporting and project planning under smaller projects.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in operating heavy machinery preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating rubber tire rollers or similar heavy equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and certification in heavy equipment operation required.
  • Proficiency in operating rubber tire rollers and understanding of compaction processes.
  • Knowledge of safety standards in road construction.
