Job Description

Overview

The RSC HR Business Partner at Ace Hardware Corporation serves as a strategic partner, aligning business objectives with employees and management while acting as a consultant on HR-related issues. This role requires developing integrated solutions and maintaining a thorough understanding of the retail support center's financial position, goals, and culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support Ace Values: Winning, Excellence, Love, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility, and Teamwork.
  • Develop and maintain successful working relationships to provide effective HR processes, advice, and support.
  • Provide proactive coaching and consultation to management in staffing, employee relations, policy administration, and performance management.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Create a positive employee relations environment and provide day-to-day performance management.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and manage employee check-ins and stay interviews.
  • Manage leave of absences, worker's compensation claims, and annual performance review tracking.
  • Respond to unemployment claims and manage travel arrangements for emergency response.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • PHR/SPHR preferred
  • 2-5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to build effective relationships
  • Successful HR generalist experience with a focus on compensation and performance management
  • Proven presentation and training experience
  • Solid knowledge of investigative and interviewing techniques
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
