Overview

The RSC HR Business Partner at Ace Hardware Corporation serves as a strategic partner by aligning business objectives with employees and management. This role involves consulting with management on HR-related issues, improving employee relations, and ensuring compliance with policies and laws.

Key responsibilities

  • Align business objectives with employees and management
  • Assess and anticipate HR-related needs
  • Develop and maintain successful working relationships
  • Provide coaching, consultation, and direction in staffing and employee relations
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend corrective actions
  • Create a positive employee relations environment
  • Manage performance management processes
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and check-ins
  • Manage employee leave of absences and workers' compensation claims
  • Track annual performance reviews
  • Respond to unemployment claims

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • PHR/SPHR preferred
  • 2-5 years progressive HR experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • HR generalist experience in compensation and performance management
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • Investigative and interviewing techniques
  • Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
  • Self-directed and motivated
